Rush Hour Backups Expected on U.S. 30 East approaching U.S. 202

U.S. 30/Exton Bypass Travel Advisory
March 30, 2018 - King of Prussia, PA.

April 2018 — Beginning Tuesday morning, April 10,motorists on eastbound U.S. 30/Exton Bypass approaching U.S. 202 should allow extra time for travel through the work area, or use an alternate route, as significant backups are expected during the morning and afternoon rush hours through late fall while the ramp from eastbound U.S. 30/Exton Bypass to northbound U.S. 202 in East and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, is reduced from two-lanes-to-one for repairs.

PennDOT is replacing the ramp's deteriorated concrete pavement a lane at a time under PennDOT’s $26.4 million project that also includes rehabilitation of the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak at the U.S. 30 Interchange.

In late 2017, PennDOT completed replacement of the deteriorated concrete from the outside lane of the two-lane ramp from southbound U.S. 202 to U.S. 30 and the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass. The inside lane of the southbound ramp will be repaired using temporary traffic patterns overnight beginning later this spring.
